All this week, COHS is supporting a national blood pressure testing and awareness campaign.
The doctor-led team at COHS (Commercial Occupational Health Services), is carrying out blood pressure checks to highlight the dangers of high blood pressure.
The campaign, run by Blood Pressure UK, encourages adults to know their blood pressure numbers and to take the necessary action to reach and maintain a healthy blood pressure.
COHS is supporting the national ‘Know Your Numbers’ week by offering blood pressure checks to all clients reviewed by COHS this week.
Doctor Nicola Dann, Director and Founder of COHS, said: “Very often high blood pressure has no symptoms, which is why it is often referred to as ‘the silent killer’. The only way to know you have it is to have a check.
“By having a simple blood pressure check, problems can be detected and easily treated, thereby reducing your risk of a stroke or heart disease.”
